    Details:

    The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is a 2005 fantasy adventure film based on C. S. Lewis’s epic fantasy novel. Working in the role of head props sculpture, John and his team were responsible for the creation of all of the props made in Auckland (not including statuary). This involved managing and directing a team of talented sculptors and mould makers.

    The Last Samurai

    Details:

    John from Oz Studio was employed as a sculptor for the Tom Cruise starring blockbuster, The Last Samurai. Responsible for the sculptural detailing and mould making for Katsumoto’s armour. Shown is a small selection of the works. John was also employed to fabricate architectural fittings for the sets.

    The Ring

    Details:

    The Ring is a ⅙ scale stop frame animation telling the story of Wagner’s Ring Cycle, an independent production for England’s Channel 4. John from Oz Studios was brought on as the head model maker responsible for all props and animatable set components (not including puppets).
