Archaeopteryx

IBM Lenovo Print and Web Campaign
Details:
Working from skeletal recreations and a researched exploration of the believed anatomy of an archaeopteryx we created a model for an IBM Lenovo print and web campaign. The model, which had posable wings and tail, sat next to a computer and came to life as the user drew on the computer ultimately proving how creative you can be on an IBM Lenovo.
Materials:
Urethane resin, wire armature, glass taxidermy eyes and epoxy putty.

Fish

Details:
There’s nothing quite like pulling up your first fish with Granddad, especially when that fish was made by Oz Studios. Working from real life examples, we created a sculpture of a life-like fish both in look and feel. A wire loop was attached to the tail and in the mouth so that rigging could be attached so that the fish came to life when it was pulled from the water.
Materials:
Urethane foam, urethane resin, stainless steel armature, epoxy putty and polyester resin (handmade eyes). Silicone mold and casting.

Fairies

Details:
Having been given Cicely Mary Barker’s fantasy illustrations depicting fairies and flowers as reference, we created 3D sculptures of the mythical creatures and flora. The miniature scenes were used as a setting from which to showcase a range of the fashion designer’s jewellery.

Urethane resin, epoxy putty and wire armature.
